رسمی/کلی. به هر کاهشی در مقدار اشاره دارد، نه فقط قیمت. 'کاهش قیمت' شبیه تخفیف است، اما 'کاهش حقوق' خیر.
Formal/general. Refers to any decrease in amount, not just price. 'Price reductions' is similar to discounts, but 'salary reductions' is not.

General. Can mean to lower any amount, not just price. 'They reduced the price' works. More general than 'discount'.
