تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
خنثی/رایج. وقتی تاکید روی حرکت آزاد و بی هدف است، قابل تعویض با wander است؛ مثلاً roam the forest نزدیک به wander است. معمولا درباره حیوانات یا افراد در حال حرکت آزاد به کار میرود.
Neutral/common. Interchangeable when emphasizing free, aimless movement — e.g. 'roam the forest' works similar to 'wander'. Used often in contexts of animals or people moving freely.
غیررسمی. حرکت آهسته و بی هدف، معمولا غیرارادی را نشان میدهد؛ مثلاً drift along the river. از نظر نیت کمتر مستقیم از wander است.
Informal. Emphasizes slow, aimless movement, often passive — e.g., 'drift along the river'. Less direct and intentional than wander.

Formal. Used mostly for speech or writing when moving away from the main topic. Less physical than wander.
