تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
رسمی. در بافت تاریخ یا شجرهنامه جایگزین ancestor میشود — «forefathers of the nation» خوب است اما «my forefather» در مکالمه معمول نیست.
Formal. Can replace 'ancestor' in historical or genealogical contexts — 'forefathers of the nation' works well, but 'my forefather' is less common in casual speech.
رسمی/فنی. بیشتر در زیستشناسی یا تاریخ برای نیای اصلی به کار میرود؛ در مکالمه روزمره کمتر استفاده میشود.
