تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
sympathize— همدردی کردن
رایج است. معمولاً به جای commiserate در ابراز غمخواری به کار میرود ولی رسمیتر از sympathize است.
Common. Generally interchangeable with 'commiserate' in expressing sorrow, but 'sympathize' is more widely used and less formal.
condole— تسلیت گفتن
رسمی است. مخصوصاً برای ابراز تسلیت پس از فوت به کار میرود و عمومیتر از commiserate نیست.
Formal. Used specifically for expressing sympathy especially after a death; less general than commiserate.
