تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
رایج. وقتی بخشی از دایره است با curve قابل تعویض است؛ مثلاً 'کمان دایره'. برای خطوط خمیده عمومی استفاده نمیشود.
Common. Interchangeable with 'curve' when referring to a part of a circle, e.g. 'an arc of a circle'. Not used for general curving lines.
محاورهای/رایج. وقتی به بخشی از جاده یا جسمی که خم شده اشاره دارد جایگزین curve میشود؛ مانند «یک خم در جاده».
Informal/common. Can replace 'curve' when referring to a part of a road or object that bends, e.g. 'a bend in the road'.

رایج/محاورهای. در عمل فیزیکی خم کردن جایگزین curve میشود؛ مثلاً «سیم را خم کن». ولی curve حالت خمیدگی نرم و روان را نشان میدهد.
Common/informal. Interchangeable with 'curve' for physical bending actions, e.g. 'bend the wire'. But 'curve' emphasizes smooth, flowing bend.
