تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
رسمی. در اشاره به چیزی موقت یا نهایی نیست قابل جایگزین است، مثلاً «برنامه موقتی» برابر «برنامه موقتی». معمولاً در موارد رسمی استفاده میشود.
Formal. Interchangeable when referring to something temporary or not final, e.g. 'provisional plan' = 'tentative plan'. Often used in official contexts.
روزمره. فقط زمانی که عدم اطمینان درباره تصمیم یا اقدام باشد جایگزین tentative میشود، مثلاً «پاسخ نامطمئن» برابر «پاسخ موقتی». کمتر برای برنامهها استفاده میشود.
Common. Interchangeable with 'tentative' only when expressing uncertainty about a decision or action, e.g. 'a tentative answer' = 'an unsure answer'. Less used for plans.
