تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
رایج. بیشتر برای نزدیک بودن زمان استفاده میشود، نه کوتاه بودن مدت. مثلاً I will come shortly به معنای به زودی است، نه کوتاهی مدت.
Common. Emphasizes near future rather than short duration. Use 'shortly' to mean soon, not for conciseness. Example: 'I will come shortly' (soon) vs. 'I spoke briefly' (short duration).
رسمی. تمرکز بر بیان مطالب زیاد در کلمات کم دارد. معمولاً در صحبت یا نوشتن قابل جایگزینی با briefly است.
Formal. Focuses on expressing much in few words. Interchangeable with 'briefly' mostly when talking about speaking or writing. E.g., 'Explain briefly' and 'Explain concisely' are similar.
