تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
panic— وحشت کردن
محاورهای و رایج. در مواقع اضطراب یا ترس ناگهانی جایگزین freak out میشود؛ مثلاً 'He panicked during the storm' درست است اما 'She freaked out during the exam' طبیعیتر است. زمانی استفاده میشود که ترس اصلی باشد.
Informal/common. Interchangeable with 'freak out' when expressing sudden strong fear or anxiety; e.g., 'He panicked during the storm' works, but 'She freaked out during the exam' is more natural for stress. Used when fear is the main emotion.
