تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
رسمی. معنای مشابه اما معمولا به تکیه دادن روی صندلی یا سطح اشاره دارد، نه لزوما دراز کشیدن روی زمین.
Formal. Similar meaning but often implies leaning back on a chair or surface, not necessarily flat on the ground. 'He reclined in the chair' works, but 'He reclined down on the floor' sounds odd.
روزمره. در بسیاری از زمینهها جایگزین lie down میشود وقتی منظور استراحت است اما برای عمل فیزیکی دراز کشیدن اختصاصی نیست.
Everyday. Can substitute in many contexts for lie down when resting is implied, e.g. 'He rested after work', but not specifically the physical act of lying flat.
