تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
رایج. وقتی تاکید بر نبود صدا یا صحبت باشد جایگزین mute میشود ولی silent معنای کلیتر بیصدا بودن است نه ناتوانی در صحبت. مثل «اتاق ساکت بود» در برابر «او لال بود».
Common. Interchangeable with 'mute' when emphasizing absence of sound or speech, but 'silent' is broader meaning no noise rather than inability to speak. E.g., 'The room was silent' vs 'He was mute'.
غیررسمی/رایج. به معنای موقتاً ناتوانی در صحبت به خاطر تعجب یا احساس است، نه ناتوانی دائم. کاملاً هممعنی mute نیست.
Informal/common. Means temporarily unable to speak due to shock/emotion, not permanent inability. Not a full synonym of mute.

Formal/common. Can mean to cause someone or something to stop making sound, often more deliberate or permanent than mute. E.g., 'Silence the audience' vs 'Mute the TV'.
