A group of words taken from a text or speech and repeated exactly.

تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
رسمی. بیشتر در متون علمی برای اشاره به ذکر منابع استفاده میشود؛ وقتی به آوردن منبع اشاره دارد جایگزین خوبی است، اما وقتی روی کلمات دقیق تمرکز باشد، مناسب نیست.
Formal. Used mostly in academic or written works to refer to referencing sources; can replace quotation when referring to source attribution but not when focusing on exact words.
رسمی/غیررسمی. به بخشی انتخابشده اشاره دارد ولی لزوماً نقل دقیق نیست؛ بنابراین همیشه به جای quotation نمیآید.
Formal/informal. Refers to a selected passage but not necessarily exact words, so not fully interchangeable with quotation.

تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
رایج/غیررسمی. به قیمت تقریبی اشاره دارد و گاهی به جای quotation در زمینه تجارت استفاده میشود، ولی به اندازه quotation قطعی نیست.
Common/informal. Refers to an approximate price or cost and can sometimes be used interchangeably with quotation in commerce, but estimate is less definite.
رسمی/تجاری. معمولاً به پیشنهاد خرید یا انجام کاری با قیمت مشخص اشاره دارد و در زمینههای خرید گاهی جایگزین quotation است.
Formal/business. Usually denotes an offer to buy or do work at a specified price, sometimes interchangeable with quotation especially in procurement contexts.
