تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
روزمره و معمولی. وقتی تاکید بر بستن محکم است جایگزین tightly میشود — «ریسمان را محکم نگه دار» درست است، ولی «گره را محکم بزن» کاربردش ویژهتر است.
Common everyday. Interchangeable with 'tightly' when emphasizing secure fastening — 'Hold the rope firmly' works, but 'Tie the knot tightly' is more specific.
رسمی/معمولی. بیشتر به ایمنی و ثبات اشاره دارد تا صرفاً سفت بودن — «بار را محکم ببند» و «بار را ایمن ببند» فرق دارند و همه جا قابل تعویض نیستند.
