تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
رایج است. معمولاً وقتی به رفتارهای معمول اشاره دارد، با tradition قابل تعویض است اما custom ممکن است محدود به منطقه یا مورد خاص باشد. مثلا 'رسوم عروسی' مناسب است اما 'سنتهای کهن' بهتر است.
Common. Often interchangeable with 'tradition' when referring to habitual practices, but 'custom' can be more localized or specific. E.g. 'wedding customs' fits, while 'ancient traditions' is better for 'tradition'.

رسمی است. بیشتر به میراث مادی یا فرهنگی اشاره دارد تا خود فرایند انتقال. همیشه با tradition قابل تعویض نیست زیرا inheritance ممکن است مادی باشد.
Formal. Focuses more on physical or cultural legacy than on the act of passing down. Not always interchangeable with tradition as inheritance can be material.
