تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
متداول. در زمینههای رقابتی یا رسمی عموماً جایگزین antagonist است — مثلاً opponent در بحث خوب است ولی همیشه برای دشمنان شخصی یا کاربرد ادبی مناسب نیست.
Common. Interchangeable with antagonist especially in competitive or formal contexts — 'opponent in a debate' fits well. Not always suitable for personal enemies or literary usage.
متداول. بیشتر به دشمنی شخصی یا خصمانه اشاره دارد. در زمینههای خصمانه میتواند جایگزین antagonist باشد اما در رقابتهای بیطرفانه نه.
Common. Refers more strongly to personal or hostile opposition than antagonist; interchangeable in hostile contexts but not in neutral competition.
