تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
رایج. وقتی بخواهیم تصادفی بودن را تاکید کنیم جایگزین coincidence میشود، مثلاً «دیدارشان کاملاً شانسی بود». ولی chance وسیعتر است و فقط به همزمانی مربوط نمیشود.
Common. Can replace 'coincidence' when emphasizing randomness and lack of design, e.g. 'It was pure chance they met.' However, 'chance' is broader and less specific to timing.
رسمی/ادبی. وقتی نتیجه خوب و خوشایندی از تصادف حاصل میشود به کار میرود. همیشه قابل جایگزینی نیست.
Formal/literary. Refers to finding something good by chance, often used when coincidence leads to a positive outcome. Not interchangeable in all contexts.
