واژهای معمول و روزمره. هنگام اشاره به حذف رطوبت قابل جایگزینی با 'desiccation' است، ولی 'drying' عمومیتر و فنی نیست. مثل «خشک کردن لباسها» روزمره است؛ «خشکسازی خاک» تخصصیتر.
Common everyday term. Interchangeable with 'desiccation' when referring to the process of removing moisture, but 'drying' is more general and less technical. For example, 'drying clothes' is everyday; 'desiccation of soil' is more technical.
رسمی و علمی. در زمینههایی مانند نگهداری غذا یا زیستشناسی مترادف است. برای خشککردن روزمره مثل لباسها استفاده نمیشود. مثلاً «کمآبی میوهها» کاربرد دارد.
