روزمره. به قطعه کوچک زغال یا چوب نیمسوختهای گفته میشود که دیگر نمیدرخشد یا نمیسوزد و اغلب با خاکستر مخلوط است. اگرچه با اخگر مرتبط است، اما خاکستر معمولاً سردتر است و دیگر فعال نیست.
Everyday. Refers to a small piece of partially burnt coal or wood that is no longer glowing or burning, often mixed with ash. While related to an ember, a cinder is typically colder and no longer active. 'The fire was full of cinders' works, 'The ember was cold' doesn't quite work if it's still glowing.

Everyday. 'Trace' is a more general term for any small sign or indication of something. It is interchangeable when referring to a very faint remaining sign, but 'ember' implies a stronger, more persistent internal feeling or a difficult-to-extinguish remnant. 'There was a trace of sadness in her eyes' works, 'Embers of sadness' is more poetic and implies a deeper, lingering sadness.

Formal/Literary. 'Vestige' refers to a small remaining part of something that once existed but is mostly gone. It is interchangeable, but 'ember' often implies something that still has potential to reignite or is still 'alive' in some sense, whereas 'vestige' can be completely inert. 'The city had vestiges of its ancient past' works, 'Embers of hope' implies that hope could still grow.
