تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
معمولی. معمولاً جایگزین gawk میشود اما gawk بار نادانی یا بیادبی دارد، در حالی که stare بیطرف است.
Common. Interchangeable with 'gawk' generally, but 'gawk' implies foolishness or rudeness, while 'stare' is neutral; 'He stared at the painting' vs. 'He gawked at the painting' shows different tones.
