کلمه رایج روزمره، در بیشتر موارد مکانی با near قابل تعویض است. مثلاً 'close to the door' و 'near the door' مشابهاند. اما close گاهی در گفتار غیررسمی ترجیح داده میشود.
Common everyday word, interchangeable with 'near' mostly in spatial contexts. For example, 'close to the door' and 'near the door' can be used similarly. However, 'close' is sometimes preferred in informal speech.
رسمی یا فنی. یعنی دقیقا کنار چیزی (تماس دارد). وقتی فاصله هست با near قابل تعویض نیست. بیشتر در توصیفهای رسمی یا جغرافیایی به کار میرود.
