تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
رسمی یا ادبی. بیشتر در زمینههای پزشکی به جای ointment به کار میرود. جمله «برای سوختگی از salve استفاده کن» درست است ولی «استفاده از ointment» رایجتر است.
Formal or literary. Often synonymous with ointment especially in medicinal contexts. 'Use a salve for the burn' works, but 'Apply the ointment' is more common in everyday speech.
رسمی یا شاعرانه. گاهی به معنای پماد تسکیندهنده است. برای همه انواع پماد کاربرد ندارد و معمولا حس درمانی یا آرامشبخش دارد.
Formal or poetic. Can mean soothing ointment or remedy. Not usually used for all types of ointments, often implying a healing or comforting effect.
