تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
روزمره. اغلب با «heaven» در معنای مکانی یا حالتی کامل و پربرکت، به ویژه در زمینههای مذهبی یا ایدهآلگرایانه، قابل تعویض است. «او امیدوار بود بعد از مرگ به بهشت برود» و «او امیدوار بود بعد از مرگ به فردوس برود» تا حد زیادی مترادف هستند.
Everyday. Often interchangeable with 'heaven' in the sense of a perfect, blissful place or state, especially in religious or idealized contexts. 'He hoped to go to paradise after death' and 'He hoped to go to heaven after death' are largely synonymous.
فنی/ادبی. عمدتاً در بودیسم و هندوئیسم برای توصیف حالتی متعالی استفاده میشود که در آن نه رنجی هست، نه آرزویی و نه حس خودی. این یک هدف معنوی است تا یک مکان فیزیکی مانند «heaven». «رسیدن به نیروانا نیازمند مدیتیشن عمیق است» درست است، اما «او پس از مرگ به نیروانا رفت» در بافت مذهبی غربی رایج نیست.
Technical/Literary. Primarily used in Buddhism and Hinduism to describe a transcendent state in which there is neither suffering, desire, nor sense of self. It's a spiritual goal rather than a physical place like 'heaven'. 'Achieving nirvana requires deep meditation' works, but 'She went to nirvana after death' is not typical in a Western religious context.
