تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
روزمره. وقتی چیزی فیزیکی حرکت نکند به کار میرود؛ فقط در معنی سکون فیزیکی با inert قابل جانشینی است — مثلا مجسمه بیحرکت است، اما inert gas معنا متفاوتی دارد.
Everyday. Used specifically when something is physically not moving; interchangeable with 'inert' only in the physical stillness sense — 'The statue was motionless' works, but 'inert gas' differs.
روزمره/رسمی. به کمبود فعالیت یا نقش اشاره دارد و از سکون فیزیکی گستردهتر است؛ در معانی کلی جایگزین میشوند — مثلا آتشفشان غیرفعال یا inerta هر دو تقریباً مشابهند.
