تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
رسمی. بیشتر به خودداری مودبانه در نشان دادن احساسات اشاره دارد. وقتی روی امتناع از صحبت تمرکز داریم، جایگزین مناسبی برای reticent است.
Formal. Often emphasizes polite restraint in showing emotions. Can replace reticent when highlighting cautious silence, but 'reticent' implies reluctance to speak rather than just formality.
رسمی/ادبی. به سکوت یا آرام بودن ذاتی اشاره دارد. کمتر به امتناع در موقعیت خاص مربوط است. برای امتناع از صحبت 'reticent' و برای سکوت کلی 'taciturn' به کار میرود.
Formal/literary. Means habitually silent or quiet. Less about reluctance in specific situations, more about personality. Use 'reticent' for reluctance, 'taciturn' for general quietness.
