بسیار خیس یا اشباع از رطوبت بهگونهای که بافت نرم یا شل میشود.

تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
کلمه رایج روزمره. وقتی بر وجود رطوبت تأکید باشد جایگزین soggy میشود اما وقتی بافت مورد نظر است کمتر. مثلا "wet clothes" جایگزین "soggy clothes" است ولی "wet bread" همان بافت نامطلوب "soggy bread" را نمیرساند.
Common everyday word. Interchangeable with 'soggy' when emphasizing presence of moisture but less so when texture detail matters. For example, 'wet clothes' can be used instead of 'soggy clothes', but 'soggy bread' implies a soft, unpleasant texture, which 'wet bread' doesn't clearly convey.
