Formal. Interchangeable with 'selective' when emphasizing careful judgment, as in 'a discerning reader', but less suitable for general choice contexts.
محاورهای. وقتی درباره دقت بیش از حد شکایت باشد جایگزین selective میشود، مثلاً ‹او در لباس انتخابگری میکند›، اما در زمینه رسمی مناسب نیست.
Informal. Interchangeable with 'selective' when complaining about someone’s fussiness, e.g. 'She’s choosy about clothes', but not suitable in formal contexts.
