تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
روزمره. مشابه است اما ‘کمرنگ’ به رنگ روشن اشاره دارد و ممکن است به پوست یا رنگ صورت باشد، نه لزوماً سفید خالص. مثلا ‘صورت کمرنگ’ درست است ولی ‘پیراهن سفید’ دقیقتر است.
Everyday. Similar but ‘pale’ refers to lightness of color and can apply to skin or complexion, not exactly the pure white color. E.g. ‘pale face’ works, ‘white shirt’ is more precise.
رسمی. به معنی بیرنگ بودن کامل، معمولا در علوم. با ‘سفید’ که رنگ مشخصی است جایگزین نمیشود.
Formal. Means having no color at all, often used scientifically; not interchangeable with ‘white’ which is a specific color.
