کسی که به طور رسمی برای حل اختلاف میان دو طرف بیرون از دادگاه تعیین میشود.
A person officially appointed to settle a dispute between two parties outside the courts.

«هر دو شرکت موافقت کردند داور اختلافشان را حل کند.»

تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
رسمی/متداول. در زمینههای حل اختلاف جایگزین است، ولی میانجی بیشتر مسئول کمک به مذاکره است و داور تصمیم نهایی میگیرد. مثلا mediator کمک میکند گفتگو شود اما arbitrator حکم نهایی میدهد.
Formal/common. Interchangeable in contexts involving dispute resolution, but mediator often implies facilitating negotiation without deciding the outcome, while arbitrator has decision power. Ex: 'mediator helped both sides talk' but 'arbitrator made the final ruling'.
متداول/غیررسمی. معمولاً در ورزش یا مسابقه است و رسمی/legal نیست. مثال: 'داور مسابقه فوتبال' نه برای اختلافات قانونی.
Common/informal. Usually used in sports or competitions, less formal/legal than 'arbitrator'. Not suitable for legal or official dispute resolution contexts. Ex: 'referee at a football match' but not for legal cases.
