تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
روزمره. وقتی روی بیان کلمات تمرکز باشد، قابل جایگزینی است. ولی 'tell' نیاز به مخاطب دارد. She told me the story درست است ولی She said the story ناقص است.
Everyday. Interchangeable with 'tell' when focusing on uttering words, but 'tell' requires specifying the listener. 'She told me the story' vs 'She said the story' (incomplete).
رسمی. برای دادن اطلاعات مهم یا رسمی کاربرد دارد و کمتر در مکالمات روزمره استفاده میشود.
Formal. Used mainly to convey official or important information, less common in casual talk. 'I informed her of the changes' unlike daily storytelling.

Formal. Implies a stronger, more official command than 'tell'. 'The captain ordered the crew to stop.'
