آگاه کردن رسمی یا کتبی کسی درباره موضوعی.
To formally inform someone about something, usually in writing or official form.
«لطفاً اگر تغییری بود به من اطلاع دهید.»

«آنها مشتریان را درباره تأخیر مطلع کردند.»

تفاوت با واژههای مشابه
رایج. در موقعیتهای روزمره و رسمی به جای notify استفاده میشود وقتی فقط قصد اطلاع دادن باشد. مثلاً inform the manager به جای notify the manager قابل استفاده است.
Common. Can replace 'notify' in everyday or formal contexts when simply giving information. For example, 'inform the manager' works as well as 'notify the manager'.
رسمی. معمولاً در متون حقوقی یا رسمی به جای notify استفاده میشود، مثلاً advise the authorities. در مکالمات غیررسمی همیشه جایگزین نیست.
Formal. Often used in legal or official contexts as a synonym for notify, e.g., 'advise the authorities'. Not always interchangeable in casual speech.
