رسمی. وقتی منظور شکست در مسابقه یا جنگ باشد جایگزین loss میشود — مثلا شکست در بازی. بیشتر در ورزش یا نظامی کاربرد دارد.
Formal. Can replace 'loss' when referring specifically to failure in a competition or battle — 'a loss in the game' vs 'a defeat in the game'. Used mainly in sports or military contexts.
متداول. وقتی منظور آسیب یا کاهش ارزش است به ویژه آسیب فیزیکی میتواند جایگزین باشد. برای حالت داغدیدگی شخصی کاربرد ندارد.
Common. Can replace 'loss' when referring to harm or reduction in value, especially physical harm — 'loss of property' can be 'damage to property'. Not suitable for personal grief.
